CRAZY WEDDING WEEKENDS

This post is a little different from my other ones. This post will show you just how insane my weekends can become! This past weekend, I had so much going on, and I figured, why not make a blog post about it?

Here’s how I prepare for weddings:

Between me and Christian, we have 5 cameras, 9 lenses, 10 memory cards, 4 batteries and 3 computers… And usually all of that equipment comes with us (except we only bring 1 computer.) So the night before we charge all the batteries, empty all the cards and pack everything up. Then we’re ready!

So first, Friday morning.

I had to swing by my hair salon and get my hair fixed by my boss. My hair was just not cooperating. So I arrived at 8:45 and left at 10:55. Then the husband and I went to target on our way to the first wedding of the weekend, Kristen and Ryan’s! We drove from Santa Ana out to Temecula for me to do makeup on Kristen and for Christian to video the wedding day. I ended up assisting him and Samantha of Samantha Polanco Photography after doing makeup. I was up and about from 8:30 am til around 12am… It was a long, long day… But the wedding was awesome! Where else can you have a glowstick party!?

Then on Saturday, I woke up at 4:30 am.. I know, I’m insane. And for this day, I actually kept a time log. 🙂

12:10am – get home from a wedding and fall asleep.

430- alarm goes off. Can I go back to sleep?

5:03- alarm goes off. I guess I did go back to sleep

5:30-alarm goes off. Kay, I should get up now

5:35- facebook, Instagram, email checking time

6:03- oh crap. I should shower.

6:11- scrambling to leave house without forgetting anything.

6:22- STARBUCKS

6:33- beginning the drive to Oceanside. Yay wedding time!

7:38- start hair on the beautiful Cassie

8:08- start makeup!

9:05- they’re ready to be hitched!

9:45 – arrive at moms house to sit and edit for a little bit before going to second wedding.

9:55- mom gives me pancakes!

10:05- edit, edit, edit

11:45- edit, export, repeat! Upload!

11:50 – send off engagement session to Christine and Vinny

12:30pm- leave for wedding in Oceanside with Kristine Wahner Photography

1:05- lunch time!

1:35- arrive at first wedding location, take bridal party photos.

2:15- leave for ceremony site in Carlsbad

2:40- arrive at ceremony site to take pictures of groom and men!
3:30- wait for ceremony!
4:00- ceremony. Congratulations Fawn and Tom!
4:25- they’re married. Wooooo! Time for photos!
5:00- everyone enters, first dance, toasts.
5:30- FOOD
6:00- speeches, dances, cake and tosses
6:35-bride and groom only photos
7- final dance
7:15- card and photo transfer!
7:36- going home!

Isn’t that exciting? And it’s only Saturday!

Then Sunday!

Sleeping in, uploading wedding photos, going to Ihop with the husband, then sending off the photos to Kat and Jeff, then driving to do hair and photos for a bridal shoot. Hair started at 2:30, shoot at 4:45

(we talked a lot of details about the wedding..)And Chelsea looked STUNNING!

(I’d show you a picture, but then the fiance might see! The wedding is on June 21st!)

Then I went to Elfin Forest in San Marcos for an engagement session with Sydney and Ryan at 6:30.

So this is a “normal” weekend for me… fitting in way too many things into 2 or 3 days, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. I love what I do! 🙂
